Kyoichi has been making a series of images showing how to set up a photo shoot for tricks. It’s really great to have someone share their set up and process. Check out the flickr page here where he lays it all out!

Dazzle
I’ve posted about Razzle camouflage multiple times in the past; 1,2 and 3 previous posts.
Now the RISD Fleet Library has an exhibition and lecture series on the WWI camouflage.
“Razzle dazzle” was a form of camouflage used by the US and UK during WWI. Its intent was to cause miscalculation in estimation of the ship’s speed and direction. The visual rangefinders of the time were easily fooled by the contrasting and overlapping geometric patterns. The markings of such camouflage have since then made their way into different forms of artistic expression. Now I’m not sure that artists pulled from ‘razzle dazzle’ as a form of precedent, but the similarity is striking. Here is a beautiful image of such camouflage patterns. Unfortunately, there were no color images of these war ships.

Sixty Days
Sixty Days – Day 16 from glenn weatherson on Vimeo.
Tony shot me over to Zlog to check out this film project entitled Sixty Days. The artist, Glenn Weatherson is documenting his time spent on house arrest.
This is a new series where I will share my day while being stuck in an apartment on house arrest.
That’s right, I will be outside a total of 6 hours per week. Time to get real.
Pretty funny.

Architecture, Art and Bikes
I don’t need to point out the naked woman because this picture was already relevant to my interests. Great perspective, focal point and composition. Love the Architecture and the surrealist wall the cyclist is emerging from. Classic Cinelli ads are the best.
Not sure where I came across this, I did just see it on Milano Fixed and HK Fixed though.

Bermondsey Bike Store
How did I miss this? 76 bikes and a real piece of architectural design makes this bike storage facility a piece of work. Very simple, clean and more of an experiment with facade, fenestration and cladding rather than jumping through formal hoops. Well done!
Structure by Sarah Wigglesworth Architects and photos by Mark Hadden Photography.
Thanks to the guys at Hipster Nascar for the heads!

Mishka for Gargamel
At the Many Many Many Many Mey opening I picked up a Gargamel toy that Mishka made for the show. Pretty great. Even though the colors are fucked up in my picture, it’s supposed to be their seafoam and magenta pantones.
I’m not really into Kaiju, but I thought this was a special purchase.
