Everyone’s NYC tale is worth sharing in my opinion and some take the extra effort to illustrate their journey. Take Sally Carson for example. The debut issue of The Skids is Sally’s auto-biographical tale about her days as a New York City bicycle messenger in the days after 9/11.

With the Tour right around the corner, the cycling posters come out of the woodwork. I’ve seen a lot of work over the years but Bruce Doscher’s are very unique. See his work from last year’s Tour at his portfolio site.

Another artist that’s been working with Unknown and CBNC on their raffle bikes is David Flores. Ace from The Sleepers went over to David’s studio while he was working on masking out the frameset and his photos are very nice. As an architect, I can really enjoy looking through photos of the new Kinoko Cycles space. I’ve always wanted to design a complete bike shop, from the floorboards to the millwork and it looks like the designer went to town on the buildout. As part of any successful project, photos are of the utmost importance and the shots on the Kinoko Flickr look great. One day I’d love to check out the space in person!
I may not be a BMX lifer but the Dig BMX Logo has always been visually engaging to me. Growing up in the metal, punk and hardcore scenes, I always found it relevant. Four fists and a chainring (sorry, sprocket), how simple. But what’s the meaning behind it?

Toronto-based photographer Todd Mclelland has a knack for disassembling everyday items and cataloging them through his lens. Right now, he has an exhibition up at the Museum of Science and Industry until May 19th.

Jake Ricker reached out to his photography buddies to pull together a new 70-page zine out called Amalgamate. The photos are great and the proceeds are going to help cover his wife’s medical bills after she was attacked by three dogs on a hike last year.
