Since spending over 6 years of my life in NYC, I’ve gotten to meet a lot of great people. One of those souls is Chris Habib of Visitor Design. His catalog extends far beyond the art world and into the music industry as he’s worked with Sonic Youth and Boredoms extensively. Chris has always been one of my favorite people in New York and really embodies what I respect as an artist. Sure, he does some wacky stuff but he offers up a fresh perspective on how to define fine art.
A few weeks ago, I Tweeted that I needed a stencil-style logo. One that could be punched out of materials and embroidered simply. Chris immediately sent me a message on Twitter and my mouth salivated like a Pavlovian dog. This is what he sent me, a serif and track end “P” and I couldn’t be happier with it. Many thanks to Chris Habib! Be sure you check out his blog, Shelflife for some great and unconventional art.
